Wilson Native Plant Nursery is a licensed, native-focused nursery located in Rochester, NY. We offer plants and consultation services for Monroe County and surrounding areas.

Orders will be ready in 2"x2"x5" plugs May 9th. For 3.5"x3.5"x5" Containers, you can wait until late June or July, but the price will increase for these larger pots.

Pickup at my house in Brighton, or, at any of the markets I plan to attend. Please email me to schedule an appointment!

For orders above $150, a 50% deposit will be required. Currently I accept Cash, Check or Venmo. More payment options to come!

For the frugal or patient gardener, I recommend ordering for May pickup! Your plants will end up the same size regardless of how large they were at time of sale, so you'll be able to save money and get more plants!

Planning a garden bed

The easiest, most successful gardening is all about matching your plants with your yard. Working with plants that appreciate the soil and light conditions you already have will save you time, create a better looking layout, and provide more ecological value to your local ecosystem!

I recommend placing plants close to one another. Ultimately plants will want to emulate the natural world, where there's little to no space between neighboring plants. Tall and sun-loving plants especially, rely on the strength of their neighbors to keep upright!
Plugs come in very little soil, so make sure you can plant them right away, then, water them once HEAVILY (you pretty much can't overwater a freshly installed plant). Water again when the weather is hot. The following year, your plants should not need any water!
I can consult and make recommendations for your yard, asses your soil, help identify plants etc!
